Data Protection Policy

As the operator of this website, we take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (in particular the General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR] and the German Federal Data Protection Act [BDSG]) as well as this Data Protection Policy.
Using our website does not generally require you to disclose personal information. Where personal data is collected on this website (such as names, addresses or email addresses), this is always done on a voluntary basis wherever possible. This data will not be shared with third parties without your express consent.
Please note that online data transmission (for example, when communicating by email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. It is not possible to protect data completely against access by third parties.

Data processing and purpose

We process your personal data in connection with your visit to our website, in particular in connection with the use of our contact form and when placing orders. In principle, you do not need to provide any personal data in order to visit our website. Data is collected for the purposes and within the scopes described below. We share your data with third parties only as set out below.

Placing an order

If you place an order, we collect and process the following data, which you provide voluntarily:

First name and surname

The legal basis for the processing of your data when placing an order is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR based on your freely given consent and Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purposes of fulfilling the order. Personal data collected by us will be stored until the expiry of the statutory retention period and then deleted unless we are obliged to store it for longer pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) GDPR due to retention and documentation obligations arising under tax and commercial law (German Tax Code [AO], German Commercial Code [HGB] or German Criminal Code [StGB]) or you have consented to a longer storage period in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Explanation of the tools and plug-ins used

Information on third-party providers such as Google Analytics, social media plug-ins or embedded videos and the associated data processing

Privacy policy for the use of Facebook plug-ins (“like” button)

Plug-ins for the social network Facebook, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA, are integrated on our web pages. You can recognise the Facebook plug-ins by the Facebook logo or the “like” button on our website. An overview of the Facebook plug-ins can be found at: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

When you visit our web pages, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via the plug-in. This informs Facebook that you have visited our website from your IP address. If you click the Facebook “like” button while you are logged in to your Facebook account, you can link the content of our web pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to our web pages with your user account. We should point out that we, as the operator of this website, do not receive any information about the content of the data transmitted or its use by Facebook. You can find more information on this in Facebook’s Privacy Policy at: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.

If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to our web pages with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

Data protection policy for the use of Google Analytics

This website uses features of the Google Analytics web analytics service, provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files stored on your computer to help analyse use of this website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within the Member States of the European Union or in other countries that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide other services relating to website activity and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the context of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google.

You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. However, please note that, if you do so, it may prevent you from making full use of some of the features of this website. In addition, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Use of cookies

We use cookies on our website. Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session. These cookies are therefore known as “session cookies”. However, there are also cookies that remain on your hard drive. When you visit our website again, the cookie will automatically recognise that you have already visited our website and identify your preferred entries and settings. These cookies are known as “persistent cookies”. These persistent cookies mean that you do not need to re-enter your password or re-enter your data in forms when placing another order.

You can deactivate the use of cookies in your browser settings. However, without the use of cookies, some of the features of our website may not work to their full extent or they may not perform as usual for you.

Article 6(1)(f) GDPR provides the legal basis for the processing in this case.

Google Tag-Manager

Using Google Tag Manager merely enables us to integrate the listed services by implementing the other cookies/tags. Google Tag Manager does not collect any personal data.

Rights of data subjects

You have the right, at any time, to receive information, free of charge, about personal data stored by us relating to you, its source, the recipients and the purpose of the data processing as well as the right to rectification, blocking or erasure, to data portability, to object, to withdraw your consent, to non-automated decision-making, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority and to a notification obligation. To exercise these rights, or if you have any further questions about personal data, you can contact us at any time using the address provided below.

Duty to provide information and right of access

Under Articles 13–15 GDPR, you have the right to information as to whether any data relating to you is being processed and which data this concerns. Conversely, as the data controller, we have a duty to provide information to data subjects, including the purpose of the processing, the intention of the transfer, the storage duration and requirements, information on data subject rights, automated decision-making, contact details for the data controller/data protection officer, legal basis for the processing, interests pursued by the data controller, the intention behind a change of purpose, information on the personal data stored (by providing a copy of this data), the categories of processing, the source of the data, and any processing that takes place on the basis of a legal obligation.

Right to rectification

Under Article 16 GDPR, you have the right to rectification, without undue delay, if data is incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate or erroneous. Depending on the scope of the rectification, implementing it may take some time without any undue delay arising.

Right to erasure, to be forgotten and to restriction of processing

Under Articles 17 and 18 GDPR, you have the right to have your personal data erased if the reasons for continued storage in accordance with Article 17 GDPR no longer apply. When implementing the erasure, data controllers must inform other controllers of your erasure request (including any links, copies or replications of this data).

Right to restriction of processing (“blocking”)

Under Article 18 GDPR, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data if one of the conditions set out in Article 18 GDPR is met. In this case, your data may only be stored and may not be processed.

Right to withdraw your consent

Under Article 7(3) GDPR, you have the right to withdraw a consent that you have granted us. However, all processing of your data up until you withdraw your consent remains lawful. To withdraw your consent, there are no particular formal requirements. You can simply send a message to the contact address provided below.

Right to data portability

Under Article 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to request its transmission to others. The right to data portability is intended to make it easier to switch between different providers.

Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

Under Article 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if you have reason to believe that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes the provisions of the GDPR.

Right to object

Under Article 21 GDPR, you have the right to object. This means that you can object to the processing of your personal data at any time (including data processing that is lawful in principle). Data subjects must justify why the controller is to stop processing the data. If the conditions for a valid objection are met, we will no longer process your personal data for this purpose unless we as the data controller can demonstrate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests as the data subject. However, data subjects have an unrestricted right to object without being required to provide justification where data is processed for direct marketing purposes.

Right to non-automated decision-making

Under Article 22 GDPR, you have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing (in particular profiling) if this produces legal effects concerning you or affects you in a similar way. This right is obsolete if the automated decision is necessary for the performance of a contract or is authorised by another legal provision.

Notification obligation regarding the rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing

Under Article 19 GDPR, the controller is under a general obligation to inform all recipients of the data of any rectification, erasure or restriction of processing (unless this is impossible or involves disproportionate effort). Unlike the right to be forgotten, this obligation relates to previous transfers to specific recipients.

The controller responsible for the data processing is:
